The visit commenced with an official welcome ceremony, featuring a ceremonial escort by UAE military jets. As the US presidential aircraft entered UAE airspace, the escort squadron established radio contact to request permission to accompany the aircraft to its destination. The gesture was a formal symbol of the UAE’s welcome to the visiting head of state.
